Phil Daru - Darustrong

When I was a digital marketing manager at Digital Invasion Media, we started working with Phil Daru. Phil is a mixed martial arts strength and conditioning coach of several championship-level MMA fighters in the UFC.  When we first started working together, Phil had very little online presence and zero digital products for sale. Below you can find the strategy I spearheaded that resulted in over 300k+ followers and over $500k in sales across all products/services.

YouTube Content

The first thing we did was set up a method of organic traffic to build Phil's following and get more eyes on the products we would eventually sell. We tested different content strategies, thumbnail styles, and more. His YouTube channel currently sits at 371k+ followers.

Lead Magnets

Before we started selling various digital products, we first wanted to build our email list and get customers to "know, like, and trust" Phil. We did this by developing several different lead magnets. In the next section, you can find three examples of lead magnets that are still available.

Digital Products

After we created a consistent method of organic traffic AND set him up with lead magnets, we started developing our digital products. Phil trains various combat athletes that compete in different sports (Wrestling, MMA, Jiu Jitsu, Muay Thai, ETC). We decided to develop conditioning programs catered to each of these different sports. We also set Phil up with a coaching mentorship that sells for $2k/month.

Instagram Content + Collabs

In addition to the previously outlined steps, we cut up our long-form YouTube content and repurposed it for Instagram. We also made unique bite-size content for Instagram. Lastly, we collaborated with several influencers that expedited the growth of Phil's Instagram page.
